The book came out in February 2008 with Penguin UK and Random House US and the film, produced by Warp Films and directed by Richard Ayoade, was released in March 2011 and is (occasionally) available to watch on Netflix. I had a cameo as a drama teacher in mourning, which got cut.

The book is now part of Penguin Essentials, with a new cover:

The book was shortlisted for the Wodehouse Prize and Commonwealth Writers Prize and longlisted for the Wales Book of the Year, the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Desmond Elliot Prize and, in an early form, won the Giles Gordon Award. The film won Best Screenplay at the 2011 BIFAs and Best Feature at 2012 Welsh BAFTAs.

Buy the UK edition of the book via Penguin and the US edition via Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
